Update #5 - more content for rooms!



Today I've decided to add more content to what I currently have. So, I've expanded bestiary up to 5 entries. So, turrets are now accompained by:

  • Zealot - pretty much standard melee enemy. Sturdy, packs a punch, but fairly slow
  • Leeches - small fast enemies, that try to drain your energy instead of attacking you. Drained energy is added to energy reward for killing those, but only partially.
  • Binders - result of small brainstorm "what would be even more annoying than leeches". A little bit slower than leeches, but once they get to you, they slow you down, until you kill them or leave the room.
  • Wall turrets - cousins to stationary turrets, those turrets are trying to get you from the walls. Quite hard to hit (or that I'm just bad at my own game XD)

Gif above features only wall turrets and binders, but I need to add some patterns with leeches and zealots to showcase them as well.

Additionally, I've added energy stash object, based on timed reward template - it allows you to get free energy, but unlocks only after you stand nearby for some time. I'm not sure how much of those will be in the game, but they were supposed to be a way for player low on energy to get some more.

I'm planning to make enemy patterns to include vacant positions for rewards, but I've realized that I still have no actual game end condition - neither winning nor losing. I probably should address this issue tomorrow, so at least game will be fully playable even with as small amount of content as it has now.
